Large hexagonal candle scented with "Ocean Mist", and layered in blue-grey for the North Sea, aqua for the Irish Sea and sea blue for the Atlantic Ocean, whose waves lap the Celtic shores and harbour beautiful mermaids. The number nine is of special significance in Celtic mythology. Cliodna, an Irish sea goddess, was said to appear with every ninth wave which broke higher and stronger than any others. This candle is inspired by another magnificent and mysterious site located on the northern coast of Ireland, "Giant's Causeway", an astonishing complex of basalt columns packed together, whose tops, mostly hexagonal, form 'stepping stones' leading from the cliff foot and disappearing under the sea. Similar columns appear on the island of Staffa, in the Hebrides, hence the legend that this was a road built by the giant Finn MacCool to enable him to cross over to Scotland. This candle is decorated with a band of green twine and miscellaneous shells collected from the beaches of Scotland. Burns up to 110 hours.
