Mistletoe was sacred to the Celts as well as Norse people. Believed to protect against evil and sickness, mistletoe was also a symbol of peace and fertility because of its berries, and is still used for medicinal purposes to this day. Similarly, holly because of its evergreen quality, represented everlasting life and as such, has been part of solstice festivities since ancient times. As today, wreaths of it were hung over doorways and stables for protection and good luck. This large ball candle is scented with the fresh and exhilirating fragrance of "Mistletoe", and will burn for up to 110 hours.
